Valves Radiators - Traditional Thermostatic Radiator Valves - Admiral TRV Range Radiators

Admiral Traditional Angled Chrome Radiator Valves – High Performance Heating

The Admiral Traditional Angled Chrome Radiator Valves are the ultimate choice for homeowners seeking a blend of classic elegance and modern reliability. Finished in a mirror-polished chrome, these radiator valves are specifically designed to complement our range of cast iron and traditional column radiators. Available now at a low price, they offer a sophisticated upgrade to any central heating system without compromising on quality.

Optimized Thermal Efficiency & Design

Engineered for high-traffic heating demands, these thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) provide precise ambient temperature control. The angled orientation is perfect for installations where pipework emerges from the floor, ensuring a neat and professional look.

Frequently Asked Questions (8)

What are the benefits of choosing Angled Admiral Radiator Valves over straight ones?
Angled valves are designed for situations where your central heating pipes come up through the floor or out of the wall and connect to the side of the radiator. They allow for a 90 degree turn, creating a clean, streamlined connection that is common in most UK residential installations.
Can I install these Admiral Chrome Radiator Valves on a 22mm pipe system?
Yes. While standard modern systems use 15mm copper pipe, the Admiral TRV is exceptionally versatile. We offer matching 22mm compression connectors as an available option, making these valves suitable for larger diameter pipework often found in older properties.
Does the polished chrome finish require special maintenance?
The chrome plating on the Admiral valves is high quality and durable. To maintain the shine, simply wipe the valves with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive chemical cleaners, as these can wear down the polished surface over time.
How does the Frost Protection feature work on this thermostatic radiator valve?
The Admiral TRV includes a frost setting usually marked with a * symbol. When set to this position, the valve will stay closed unless the room temperature drops below approximately 7
Are these valves suitable for high pressure or combi boiler systems?
Yes, the Admiral range is engineered to handle the pressures associated with modern sealed systems and combi boilers, while also maintaining a high enough flow rate to be effective on older, low pressure gravity fed systems.
What is a Decorators Valve Shut Off Cap and do I need one?
A TRV head is designed to react to temperature. Even when off, it may open if the room gets very cold frost protection. A decorators cap is a solid plastic cap that manually screws down the valve pin, ensuring it stays 100% closed. This is essential if you need to remove the radiator for painting or maintenance without draining the entire system.
Is the internal mechanism of the valve made of plastic or metal?
The core body and internal components of the Admiral valve are constructed from solid brass. This heavy duty metal construction is the reason we are able to offer a 10 year guarantee, as it far exceeds the lifespan of cheaper plastic bodied alternatives.
How do I balance my heating system using these valves?
The set comes with a TRV for one side and a Lockshield valve for the other. The TRV controls the room temperature, while the Lockshield is used to restrict the flow of water through that specific radiator. By adjusting the Lockshield, you ensure that radiators closest to the boiler don't steal all the hot water from those further away.
