Column Radiators - The Cornel Radiators - Cornel Electric Radiators

Experience Superior Heating with Cornel Electric Radiators & Designer Radiators

The Cornel Electric 1500W (600mm x 1113mm) stands as a titan in our collection of designer radiators. Featuring 23 meticulously crafted sections, this 3-column powerhouse provides substantial heat for larger living spaces. If you are searching for the best electric radiator that balances vintage aesthetics with 21st-century technology, this 1500W model is the definitive choice for the UK market.

Technical Sophistication: Electric Radiators Wall Mounted or Plug In

Engineered for flexibility, these electric radiators plug in directly to any standard UK socket for immediate use, or can be installed as electric radiators wall mounted for a sleek, permanent finish. Unlike basic ceramic electric radiators UK, the Cornel series utilizes a high-density thermal fluid that ensures the entire 1113mm width remains consistently warm, eliminating cold spots in your room.

Exclusive Product Features:

  • High Heat Density: 23 sections providing 1500W of consistent radiant warmth.
  • Adaptive Start Technology: The radiator "learns" how long it takes to heat your room and starts early to hit your target temperature exactly on time.
  • Precision Thermostat: Accurate to within 0.1°C, outperforming many electric radiators Fischer in thermal stability.
  • Safety First: Features an integrated thermal cut-out and a child safety "keypad lock" to prevent accidental setting changes.
  • Energy Saving: Includes dedicated 'Eco' and 'Anti-frost' modes to keep bills at a low price.

Cornel Radiator Sizes and Variety

While this 1500W unit is ideal for expansive lounges, we offer a full range of Cornel radiator sizes to suit every nook of your home. From the slim Cornel 3 column radiator profile to the high-capacity Cornel 4 column radiator, our electric radiators sale ensures you find the perfect fit. For rooms with limited horizontal space, consider our electric radiators vertical alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions (9)

Is a 1500W unit sufficient for a large open-plan living room?
The 1500W output is substantial, roughly translating to 5118 BTUs. For a modern, well-insulated room, this can heat approximately 15-18 square meters. If your space is larger or has high ceilings, you might consider pairing this with a second unit or looking at our electric radiators vertical range to maximize wall space.
How does the 23-section build affect the heat retention?
The 23 sections provide a massive surface area. Because the Cornel is fluid-filled, these sections act as a thermal mass. Even after the thermostat reaches its goal and cuts the power, the steel sections continue to radiate heat into the room for a significant period, making it more efficient than electric radiators portable fan heaters.
Can I use this as one of my electric radiators plug in or does it need a 20amp circuit?
At 1500W, this radiator draws approximately 6.5 Amps. This is well within the 13 Amp limit of a standard UK plug socket. While it is perfectly safe to use as a plug in unit, for a cleaner designer look, many users prefer a hardwired installation via a 13A fused spur.
What is the specific depth of the Cornel 3 column radiator versus the 4 column?
The 3-column model has a depth of 101mm, while the Cornel 4 column radiator measures 139mm. The 3-column version this model is often preferred for hallways or rooms where you want a classic look without the radiator protruding too far from the wall.
How does the digital programmer handle power cuts?
The internal electronics feature a memory backup. In the event of a short power failure, the radiator will retain your 7-day programmed settings. You won't need to reconfigure your Comfort or Eco schedules every time there is a flicker in the grid.
Are these radiators as heavy as cast iron?
No, they are made from high-grade mild steel. While they mimic the look of Victorian cast iron, they are significantly lighter, making them easier to install as electric radiators wall mounted. However, at 1113mm wide, we still recommend two people for the mounting process.
Can the surface temperature be limited for safety?
Yes, the advanced digital controller allows you to adjust settings to ensure the surface doesn't reach excessive temperatures, which is a vital feature for households with children or elderly residents, often a highlight in a positive Cornel radiator review.
Why choose Cornel over ceramic electric radiators UK?
Ceramic radiators heat up very quickly but can cool down just as fast. The thermodynamic fluid in the Cornel provides a more natural convection current. It doesn't scorch the dust in the air, resulting in a better air quality and a more consistent ambient temperature throughout the room.
What makes this a low price option compared to other brands?
We source our designer radiators directly, removing the middleman. While brands like electric radiators Fischer often require expensive home surveys and proprietary installation, the Cornel is designed for straightforward DIY or local electrician installation, saving you hundreds in hidden costs.
